Screencast-o-matic allows you to create a 10-minute podcast and upload it to YouTube in matter of seconds. It's very easy to use, and free. And you only really need a video camera on your computer if you are planning to include a frame of yourself talking into the podcast. Otherwise, you just need a laptop and you're good to go!
YouTube

Sure, YouTube users primarily upload videos with low educational content. However, there are also millions and millions of fantastic videos, conferences, podcasts, newscasts, documentaries, entire feature films, etc, which are available on YouTube for free. You can very easily share the links, or embed the html code directly into a website or blog for even faster use. YouTube is an indispensable teaching tool and has often already replaced many textbooks with high-quality digital media. YouTube even provides you access to specialized "channels" to which you can subscribe and which often feature great content!
Grockit

Vimeo

iTunes U

iTunes U is a fantastic library of knowledge: university professors post lectures and podcasts (most of them free) on iTunes U for the world to use. This is one of the most extraordinary online virtual library of knowledge.
iMovie

iMovie is an Apple product which allows users to create and edit videos (podcasts, films): the software must be purchased and installed on a given computer however. It is more complicated to use than Screencast-o-Matic but can also allow you to create more sophisticated videos (e.g. add subtitles, etc).
