_Diigo allows you to create your own library of online resources, share
it with your a group of students (you can even restrict access to your virtual library to only your group of students). You can then bookmark any website (article, photo, etc), add one or more "tags" (keywords) to your bookmark and create a huge online library of sites which can then be accessed from anywhere. Adding tags then allow you to quickly sort the content of your virtual library. Students who have subscribed to your online library receive monthly updates to let them know that new bookmarks have been added to the virtual library. Diigo also allows you to highlight parts of a site, or add a "sticky note" (similar to a PostIt), which then remain accessible from any internet device and by whoever has subscribed to your online library. Online bookmarking tools have
become essential teaching tools nowadays! To learn more about this fantastic tool, just watch this introduction video to Diigo.

Questia is an essential research tool: it gives students access to thousands of academic papers and specialized e-books. Students can conduct a search by keyword, set aside the articles or e-books on a virtual "bookshelf" for future use, etc. Questia requires a subscription but all IB students all have an account through the school and frequently use it for their Extended Essay and other online research.
